Dennis Gannon is a Senior Director in the Finance Practice of the Corporate Executive Board.  His principal responsibilities include overseeing the execution of research initiatives within the Finance Practice, delivering in-person and online executive education events for corporate finance professionals, and providing decision support and advice to executives in a one-on-one setting.

Dennis’ expertise and experience ranges across a broad range of corporate finance activities, including capital structure, liquidity, funding, risk management, and finance talent development.  He has led over 75 Executive Forums for CFOs, Treasurers, Audit Directors, and other finance leaders for the Corporate Executive Board, and led or contributed to such CEB research initiatives asMaximizing Cash Efficiency, Performance Leadership in a Downturn, and Capital Structure in the New Market Reality.  He interacts with senior finance leaders in the CEB membership on a daily basis to keep them current on market and functional trends, and to provide an authoritative perspective on best-practice responses to emerging challenges.  Currently, Dennis primarily focuses on issues and research initiatives pertaining to CFOs, corporate treasurers, and corporate controllers.

Prior to joining CEB, Dennis taught mathematics and finance to at-risk youth in an alternative school setting; and consulted professional sports franchises on customer retention strategies.  He earned an MBA with honors in Finance and Sports Business from the University of Oregon, and also holds an MA in Philosophy of Science and a BS in Mathematics from Virginia Tech.  Dennis lives and works out of Portland, Oregon.
